The Sidi Bel Abbes court, sitting in criminal session, handed down the death penalty in absentia to elements from the terrorist group made up of "emir" Djilali D. and his two henchmen Cheikhet D. and Mohamed D. H. The three individuals were charged with setting up a terrorist group, premeditated murder and ambush. In the same case, the tribunal tried the seven elements of the network providing support to that group, sentencing three of them to jail terms ranging from three to five years and acquitting the other four.
