The Southern Bangkok Criminal Court found Vinai Charoensrisomboon, alias To Texas, guilty of the premeditated murders of three members of the Mangkornhong family and sentenced him to death penalty. He killed Somthop, his business partner, and Thaworn and Damrong, the victim's father and brother, on Dec 8, 2000. The killings stemmed from a business conflict between Vinai and Somthop who invested in a traditional massage house in Samphanthawong district. To Texas was an influential figure in Yaowarat where he owned a big CD store. He was arrested while plotting his escape to Burma.
