The Supreme Court of Thailand postponed till 2002 the consideration of the appeal of Ukrainian citizen Viktoriya Mamontova, sentenced to death for smuggling drugs on August 17, 2001. The acting head of Ukraine's Foreign Ministry press service Serhiy Borodenkov said the consideration of Mamontova's appeal was postponed because the Thai judges have an overload of recent drug-smuggling cases.
