The Swiss Federal Council and the Albanian Government signed an agreement in Bern

1 MIN READ
The Swiss Federal Council and the Albanian Government signed an agreement in Bern. By the terms of this agreement, each of the parties readmits into its territory, by request of the other contracting party, every person who does not meet the necessary requirements to enter and stay in the territory of the other contracting party. This agreement is applicable if it is proved that the person is a citizen of one of the contracting parties. In such cases the transit visa is unnecessary. The agreement is also applicable to natives of other states who have a permanent visa issued by the contracting parties, and to people endowed with official refugee status in the territory concerned. Either party can refuse a transit visa to people in whose case there is ample proof that they risk suffering inhuman treatment or the death penalty, or their lives are otherwise threatened, in the state where they are heading.
