the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals halted the execution of Milton Mathi after his attorneys raised claims he is mentally retarded. The court said Mathis' claims should be reviewed by the Fort Bend County court in which he was tried nearly 6 years ago. Mathis, 26, was 1 of 2 death row inmates scheduled for lethal injection in a rare double execution.
