The Turkish Council of Ministers adopted a report prepared by the Human Rights Supreme Board which foresees the abolition of the capital punishment as a reference document. The National Action Party (MHP), one ruling partner who opposed the abolishment of death sentence, said it would only support the annulment of capital punishment during war.
