The UN Human Rights Commission adopted a resolution condemning Belarus for subjecting opposition members to arbitrary detention, disappearances and executions. The human rights commission called for those responsible for political killings to be brought to justice and for the judiciary's independence to be re-established. The country was also called upon to reform its security services so that they conform to international norms of human and political rights.
