The watchdog group Human Rights Watch urged the United States, European Union and United Nations to make Russia investigate a mass grave site discovered in the rebel Chechen Republic in February."Russian authorities have literally buried evidence of extra-judicial executions in Chechnya," the New York-based private group said, releasing a 24-page report on the mass grave found in Dachny, an abandoned village less than a kilometre from Russia's main Chechen military base.According to the report, 51 bodies were found in Dachny. Of the 19 identified by relatives, 16 were last seen as they were taken into custody by Russian forces."The mass dumping site - the bodies were dumped along streets in the village and in abandoned cottages over an extended period of time - provides striking evidence of the practice of forced disappearances, torture, and extrajudicial execution of civilians by Russian federal forces in Chechnya," the report said.
