Thomas Wayne Mason, 48, white, was put to death by lethal injection. He had been convicted for a double murder committed on 2nd October 1991. The victims were his mother-in-law, Marsha Yvonne Brock, 55, and her mother, Sybil Mares Dennis, 80. He was the 20th person to be executed in the State during the year, No 219 since the State resumed executions in 1974. He was the 45th to be put to death in the U.S. during the year and No 643 since the death penalty was re-introduced in 1976.
