Robert Carter, 34, black, was put to death by lethal injection. He had been convicted of killing six members of the same African-American family following a row on 18th August 1992. The victims were Bobby Davis, 45, his daughter Nicole Davis, 16, and 4 other children: De 'Nitra Davis, 9, Lea 'Erin Davis, 5, Brittany Davis, 6, and Jason Davis, 4. He was the 19th person to be executed in the State during the year, No 218 since the State resumed executions in 1974. He was the 39th to be put to death in the U.S. during the year and No 637 since the death penalty was re-introduced in 1976.
