Thousands of men took to the streets in the southern city of Cape Town to protest against the continuing violence against women and children in South Africa.
The Men's March signalled the start of a 16-day campaign aimed at raising awareness of abuse against women and children. They held placards that read " Death penalty for rapists and abusers".
