Three alleged drug criminals, including Wang Shiguo (3769 0013 0948), Li Ping (2621 1627) and Hu Rujun (5706 1172 0193) were executed in Shanghai for drug smuggling and trafficking, the Jiefang Daily reported.
On 7 February 2001, Wang, a peasant from Jinan Province, allegedly bought 200 heroin pills in Burma, swallowed them and took a flight to Shanghai city from Yunnan Province, the paper reported. On 8 February 2002, the police arrested him at a hotel.
From July to September 2000, Li Ping, a "vagrant" from Xinjiang, allegedly colluded with Jia Guodong (6328 0948 2639) and others to smuggle 5.48 kg of heroin and 16 g of methamphetamine across the border into China.
On 25 September 2000, Jia allegedly carried the drugs from Kunming to Shanghai by train. The police arrested the suspects.
On 17 May 2001, Hu, a "vagrant" from Gansu Province, allegedly sold heroin in Shanghai. The police arrested Hu, confiscating 8.19 kg of heroin.
