Eight people, who were found guilty of the crimes for murder, manslaughter, robbery, blackmail, kidnapping and illegally possessing weapons, were sentenced to death and executed in Chaozhou, a city in south China's Guangdong Province.
The executed criminals were Huang Minghong, Qiu Jingrong, Wang Yuncai, Liang Fuliang, Lai Yuanyou, Lin Ruisen, Chen Shubin and Lin Chengshun. Huang Minghong and Qiu Jingrong were the prime culprits of the organized crime gang.
The eight criminals were all deprived of their political rights, and all of Huang's property was confiscated.
Also at the meeting, Huang Youfa and Chen Tianxue were sentenced to death for manslaughter but with two years' reprieve.
