Three Iranians convicted of murder were hanged in Tehran and the northeastern city of Mashhad, Iranian dailies reported.
The conservative Quds papers reported that a murderer only identified by his first name, Farhad, was hanged in the presence of judiciary and police officials in Mashhad for killing Akbar, 25, five years ago with a knife.
No other information was given. Two men identified by their first names, Ebrahim and Salman, were hanged for murder in Tehran, the reformist Vaghayeh-e Etefaghieh (Events) reported without saying if they were executed publicly or not.
The paper added that Salman was convicted of murder in 2000 when he was 17, but the courts waited for him to come of age to implement the capital punishment.
