Three men were sentenced to death in Bangkok after being convicted of possessing 400,000 methamphetamine tablets with intent to sell.
The Bangkok Southern Criminal Court condemned Sawat Kaewrakmuk, 36, Apichart Noppadolkanok, 20, and Surasit Prasertsin, 29, for the crime committed in February 2000.
The three had pleaded not guilty but the court found that their defence was unsubstantiated, and the evidence against them, including Bt40 million worth of pills, solid.
The three were arrested while transferring the drugs from one vehicle to another at Central Bang Na.
