Three persons were sentenced to death in two different murder cases by the Additional Session Courts in Faisalabad. Judge Abdus Shakoor Chaudhry condemned to death Ali Sher and Muhammad Akram. According to the prosecution Ali Sher and Muhammad Akram had shot dead Muhammad Ali and Ahmed Ali, besides inflicting serious injuries on Ghulam Abbas over an old enmity. Another murder suspect [identified only as] Liaquat was sentenced to capital punishment for stabbing to death a relative [identified only as] Bashir over a family dispute.
