TRINIDAD: DEATH SENTENCE FOR ICE-PICK MURDER
Reed Richards, 35, was sentenced to death for the murder of 56 year old taxi-driver Roland Marshall, who was stabbed more than 40 times with an ice-pick.

Reed Richards, 35, was sentenced to death for the murder of 56 year old taxi-driver Roland Marshall, who was stabbed more than 40 times with an ice-pick. A 12-member jury in the San Fernando First Assize Court announced the guilty verdict to Justice Rajendra Narine. Richards, a construction worker of Dow Village, South Oropouche, entered Marshall's taxi at Fyzabad on the night of October 28, 2004. Marshall, of Maraj Trace, Pepper Village, Fyzabad, was robbed of his cellphone and about $150, and his car was discovered crashed and abandoned. Richards has seven previous convictions for drug and firearms offences.
