Chief Justice Ivor Archie of the Trinidad & Tobago Court of Appeal quashed the death sentence of Ijah Braithwaite and ordered a retrial. Justice Herbert Volney in the Port-of-Spain First Criminal Court found him and Marlon Taitt guilty on May 9, 2008, of murdering Anthony McCarthy at East Dry River on May 16, 2006.
