Two Burundi army soldiers, Sgt

Two Burundi army soldiers, Sgt. Rene Rukemanganizi, Pt. Napoleon Manirokiza, were publicly executed at the Zege range ground, north of the central town of Gitega. The Gitega War Council had condemned the two to death after finding them guilty of assassinating on October 3rd, the director of a local para-medical school, his two sons, and an Italian priest, who worked at Mutoyi in central Burundi. The two were executed by firing squad in front of a large crowd.
