Two convicted murderers, including a military officer, were executed by firing squad, the Yemeni public prosecutor said in a statement.
Maj. Saeed al-Areef was sentenced to death in October after being found guilty of murdering Capt. Mutahar Qasem. He was executed at a military camp in the capital San`a.
Another man, Yehya al-Sadiq, was executed in a public square in the Mahweet province, some 115 kilometers (70 miles) north of San`a. Al-Sadeq was found guilty of killing Ali al-Sabi without elaboration.
