TWO HANGED FOR RAPE IN GUJRANWALA CENTRAL JAIL

two men convicted of gang rape were hanged in Gujranwala Central Jail in Pakistan. Arif and Zulfiqar, residents of Dedar Singh, a suburb of Gujranwala, gang raped an FA student, Khalida Bbi, on July 22, 1997. They were handed death sentences by the Special Anti Terrorism Court Gujranwala. The men filed appeals in the all-High Courts and to President Musharraf, however their pleas were rejected. The convicts’ bodies were handed over to their legal heirs.
