Two members of a criminal gang responsible for over 50 violent crimes were sentenced to death by firing squad

Two members of a criminal gang responsible for over 50 violent crimes were sentenced to death by firing squad. The Tajik Supreme Court sentenced 29-year-old Shokhmakhmad Khasanov and 27-year-old Valodzhon Huliyev to death for the murder of six people, hostage taking and violent assaults. The men were members of an anti-government gang headed by field commander Saidmukhtor Yerov.
