Two young Egyptians, aged 22 and 25, were hanged in prison for the 1999 rape of a woman they had kidnapped, judicial officials said.
Convicted rapists El-Sayed Mustafa al-Malki and Walid al-Said al-Tubgi were executed in Zagazig, situated in the northern part of Egypt.
In April 1999, they kidnapped a woman after stabbing and wounding her husband. The woman was dragged off to a remote field and raped at knife point, a court heard.
