The Abu Dhabi Criminal Court sentenced an Asian to execution on charges of throttling his colleague to death with ghotra (cloth used by a community to form a turban out of the same), The Gulf Today reported on 18 December 2018.

The victim and the defendant worked in a farm in Abu Dhabi. The duo were living together, as well. They reportedly came to the UAE together and were related. However, they often fought as the deceased used to scold the defendant’s parents and disturb him when he was sleeping. The defendant reportedly contacted the deceased’s brother to find a solution to the disputes.
