UAE: MAN GETS DEATH PENALTY FOR STABBING GUARD WITH KNIFE

A construction worker, who stabbed a security guard to death using a kitchen knife, has lost his appeal against the death sentence, khaleejtimes reported on 31 October 2018.
According to court records, the worker committed the murder after the guard stopped him from sexually harassing a female employee at their workplace.
The Abu Dhabi Appeal Court upheld an earlier ruling by a lower court, which found the Asian worker guilty of murder.
The victim's family had refused to take blood money from the killer and requested the court to give him the death penalty.
