the Ugandan Court of Appeal dropped the death sentences issued in 2003 by the Masaka High Court against Lawrence Ndawula and his son, Isa Golola, for killing neighbour Steven Mwanje. The men filed an appeal in the Court of Appeal, saying the evidence on which they were convicted was insufficient. The judges also said it was wrong for Justice Eldad Mwangushya to sentence Golola to death yet he was a juvenile by the time he was alleged to have committed the crime.
