in Uganda, Lt. Col. Eugene Sebugwawo of the UPDF 3rd Division Court Martial sentenced Pte. Joseph Tembo to death for shooting dead Cpl. Michael Oucha and Pte. Lawrence Maswaagi, following a quarrel at Moroto barracks on May 13.
The Court Martial said a death sentence for Tembo would prevent others from getting involved in such acts.
The court gave the accused 14 days to appeal the sentencing in the General Court Martial.
