Justices V S Sirpurkar and A K Pattnaik of the Indian Supreme Court sentenced Sunder Singh to death for burning five members of a family to death on June 30, 1989. Pratap Singh and Nandi Devi, their two children and their elder brother Prem Singh all died in the fire.
