UKRAINE: COMMUNISTS PRESSING FOR RESTORATION OF DEATH PENALTY

the Ukrainian communists made a new attempt to restore the death penalty by law. The relevant bill of amendments to Article 641 of the Criminal Code and to the Code of Criminal Procedure was registered in parliament. The authors of the bill propose the restoration of death penalty for premeditated murders, human trafficking, robbery, banditry, actions of terrorism, drug trafficking and bribe-taking.
