the 17 Indian men on death row in the United Arab Emirates for murdering a Pakistani man were pardoned by a Sharjah court after the victim's family agreed to accept Dh3.4 million in blood money.

The 17 will have to wait at least till September 12 to be released as there is a civil case pending. The 17 men allegedly murdered Misri Nazir Khan in Sharjah in January 2009.
