An Autauga County jury recommended a death sentence for Justin Tyler Hosch. Hosch, 22, white, was convicted of capital murder in the Oct. 19, 2008, shooting death of Joey Willmore, 49. The vote was 10 jurors for the death penalty and 2 jurors for life in prison without the possibility of parole, the only other sentencing option in a capital murder conviction. In the penalty phase, state law requires a minimum of 10 jurors to vote for a death sentence recommendation. Prosecutors told the jury Willmore was killed so Hosch could steal his 1989 Chevrolet pickup. Judge John Bush set final sentencing for Oct. 14.
