A Mobile County jury recommended 11-1 the death penalty for Carlos Edward Kennedy, 27, in the June 28 2010 murder of Zoa White, 69. Mobile County Circuit Judge Joseph "Rusty" Johnston set a sentencing date for June 17. Police found a palm print and fingerprint belong to him, as well as his DNA in blood.
