A Morgan County jury recommended the death penalty for Jordaan Creque, 23, Black. The jury's vote was 11-to-1 in favor of the death penalty. The same jury convicted Creque on the 11th of capital murder in connection with the August 2011 deaths of 2 fast food restaurant employees, Jeffrey Graff, 50, and Jesse Aquilar, 23, during a robbery. Circuit Court Judge Glen Thompson scheduled formal sentencing for January 15, 2014. Creque is the 1st of 3 people to stand trial in this case. Cassandra Eldred and Ezekiel Gholston are also charged with capital murder. They will be tried separately. No trial dates have been set in either case.
