A Houston County Jury recommended 10-2 the death penalty for Tawuan Townes, 20, black, convicted in the shooting death of Christopher Woods during a burglary at his home on Nov. 13, 2008. Circuit Judge Larry Anderson will rule on April 22 whether to impose the death penalty, or whether to give Townes the other possible sentence, which is life in prison without the possibility of parole.
