USA - Alabama. Madison County Circuit Judge Karen Hall handed down the death sentence for Benito Albarran

Madison County Circuit Judge Karen Hall handed down the death sentence for 34-year-old Benito Albarran for the 2005 shooting death of Officer Daniel Golden. On June 26, 2008 (see) a jury voted 10-2 to recommend the death penalty for Albarran, who was as an illegal immigrant. He was convicted of shooting Golden at point-blank range when Golden responded to a domestic violence call from Albarran's wife.
