USA - Arkansas. A jury sentenced Zachary Holly to death

A Benton County jury sentenced Zachary Holly, 30, White, to death for raping and strangling a 6-year-old girl. Benton County judge Brad Karren agreed and set a provisional execution date for Nov. 16, 2016. Holly was found guilty in the Nov. 20, 2012 kidnapping, rape and murder of Jersey Bridgeman. Investigators said Holly and his wife babysat the child the night of her death while her mother, DesaRae Bridgeman, and Bridgeman's boyfriend were working at a nearby convenience store. A swab test on Jersey Bridgeman's body showed traces of sperm, according to the affidavit. The young girl's death ended a short life marred by abuse. Her father and stepmother were sentenced to prison after being convicted of chaining her to a dresser in 2011.
