A jury decided today that Randolph "Randy" Kling will be sent to death. On May 7, the jury convicted Kling, 52, of 2 counts of 1st-degree murder for shooting William "Bill" Budfuloski, 53, on Aug. 9, 2003, and his son, Michael Budfuloski, 31, on Feb. 24, 2004. Ventura County prosecutors contend that Kling committed the killings in a plot to gain control of the older man’s business, but the jury was deadlocked over the allegation that the shootings were committed for financial gain.
