USA - California. A jury voted unanimously to sentence Eddie Ricky Nealy to death

A Fresno County jury voted unanimously to sentence Eddie Ricky Nealy to death for raping and killing 14-yr-old Jody Lynn Wolfe in 1985. On Aug. 28, the jury convicted Nealy, 56, Black, of rape and 1st-degree-murder in the killing of the girl, whose nude body was discovered floating face up in a southwest Fresno canal on Aug. 15, 1985. The case went cold, and was eventually solved only in 2001, thanks to new Dna tests. Nealy has two previous rape convictions.
