Riverside County Judge Christian F. Thierbach sentenced Tyrone Harts, 42, Black, to death. A jury convicted Harts in the Feb. 22, 2011 incident where he shot his former girlfriend Brandi Morales, 34, White, and lit her on fire in front of her children. The jury recommended death on November 21, 2014 (see).
