Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Ronald S. Coen sentenced Angel Mendoza to death. Following the jury’s recommendation. Mendoza, 39, to death. Mendoza, 39, was convicted Oct. 11, 2013 of the Oct. 27, 2007 murder of Miguel Morales, the March 31, 2008 killings of Arturo Saldana and Francisco Cereceres, and the April 22, 2008 killing of Roberto Rodriguez. The death penalty was recommended by the jury and affirmed by Judge Coen.
