Victorville Superior Court Judge Eric Nakata sentenced Sherhaun Kerod Brown, 34, black, to death, following the Feb. 8 (see) recommendation. Brown was found guilty of the May 7, 2007 murder of Kristy Vert and raping her daughter-in-law on. The name of the second woman is not published, as she is a victim of a sex-related offence.
