A federal jury unanimously recommended 13 death sentences against Kaboni Savage, 38, Black, a drug dealer convicted of murdering 12 people, including 4 children and 2 women who were relatives of an informant and were killed in a firebombing. Savage already was serving 30 years in prison for a drug trafficking conviction. He will be sentenced Monday. Savage has mostly been in prison since 2003, but prosecutors said he gave orders through phone calls and prison visits and communicated with other inmates through prison plumbing pipes. The jury found he ordered from prison the 2004 arson that killed the family of an informant who planned to testify against him. The informant, Eugene "Twin" Coleman, was in prison at the time, but the 5 a.m. fire killed his mother and 15-month-old son, along with the 4 others.
