A Duval County jury recommended 8-4 the death penalty for Kim Jackson, 43, Black. He was convicted of 1st degree murder last week in the 2004 stabbing death of Debra Pearce, 49, in her home. The case was unsolved until a 2007 DNA test matched to Jackson. Judge James Daniel will make the final decision on Jackson's sentence. The next hearing is scheduled for June 11.
