USA - Florida. A jury voted to sentence Sean Alonzo Bush to death

A St. Johns County jury voted unanimously to sentence Sean Alonzo Bush to death. The jury found Bush, 48, Black, guilty earlier this month of 1st-degree murder and burglary with an assault for killing his estranged wife, Nicole Bush, 35, in her apartment in May 2011. Circuit Judge Howard Maltz will formally sentence Bush in about two months after a final hearing at which his defense team can present any last minute mitigating circumstances for the judge to consider. That hearing is tentatively scheduled for Oct. 13.
