Circuit Judge Marlene Alva sentenced David Byron Russ to death today. Russ, 47, white, had pleaded guilty to the May 7, 2007 first-degree murder of 58-year-old Madeleine Leinen. At the time of his arrest, he said he was high on cocaine when he killed Lienene.
