USA - Florida. Judge Adrian G. Soud sentenced Michael Mulugetta Yacob, 26, black, to death

Circuit Judge Adrian G. Soud sentenced Michael Mulugetta Yacob, 26, to death in the 2008 killing of 19-year-old store clerk Moussa Maida during a robbery. The judge followed an Oct. 18 (see) jury’s recommendation. Yacob managed to escape and went undetected until 2010 when DNA from the crime scene linked him to the murder while in jail on another case.
