USA - Florida. Judge Mary Handsel formally sentenced John Sexton to death
Circuit Judge Mary Handsel formally sentenced John Sexton to death for the Sept. 22, 2010 murder and rape of a 94-year-old woman, Ann Parlato, who hired him to mow her lawn. A jury convicted Sexton in April and recommended the death penalty, and the judge agreed after reviewing the circumstances of the case.
