USA - Florida. Judge William Fuente sentenced Dontae Rashawn Morris to die.

Hillsborough Circuit Judge William Fuente sentenced Dontae Rashawn Morris, 28, Black, to die. A jury recommended the death sentence on November 13, 2013 (see) after finding Morris guilty  in the June 29, 2010 killing of 2 police officers, David Curtis and Jeffrey Kocab. The state also informed jurors that Morris was sentenced earlier this year to life in prison without the possibility of parole for killing Rodney Jones at a nightclub just 30 days before he murdered the officers. Morris is still facing murder charges in two other cases that have yet to be tried.  It was determined that the gun used in the murders of the officers was also used in the shooting death of Derek Anderson, 18, on May 18, 2010, and of Harold Wright, 25, on June 8, 2010.
