The Florida Supreme Court ordered new capital sentencing hearing for Dwayne White, ruling that his death sentence was unconstitutional under the Court's 2016 decision in Hurst v. State. White, 47, Black, was convicted of 1st-degree murder in the August 29, 2011 stabbing death of his estranged wife, Sarah Rucker, 42. On October 28, 2014 (see) a Seminole County jury had recommended death voting 8 to 4. Circuit Judge Kenneth Lester Jr. sentenced the defendant to death on March 19, 2015 (see).
