USA - Illinois. Judge George Bakalis formally imposed the death penalty on Brian Dugan
Judge George Bakalis formally imposed the death penalty on Brian Dugan today for kidnapping, raping and killing 10-year-old Jeanine Nicarico, and set the execution date for Feb. 25. Dugan pleaded guilty on July 28 (see) to the 1983 kidnap, rape and murder, and a jury sentenced him to death on Nov. 11 (see).
